If you were to ask anyone near you right now if they ever needed forgiveness or a second chance, odds are they would say they have. They forgot someones birthday, they were late to an important event, they messed up at work. I know my own past has it’s own collection of missteps that relied the compassion and grace of others to move forward, to believe that I was repentant and had good intentions with my actions, despite the mistakes.



As I prepared myself to go see Brand New in concert, I witnessed so many comments stating that Jesse Lacey should never be allowed to be on a stage again and everyone in attendance of these shows should be arrested for also being predators. The latter a little dramatic for my taste, but I digress. It made me wonder what one has to do to be welcomed back into society. How do we determine that a debt has been paid for their crimes and they deserve that second chance.
